One particularly glorious day, before the official start of spring, a group of us, old friends and new, gathered at one of the most spectacular locations, to shoot some photos for my lookbook (more on that, later). Located way high in a Malibu Canyon, Windcliff Ranch boasts varied terrain, with sweeping canyon, valley, mountain and ocean views. Awesome, is an understatement. Breathtaking comes close. Our hostess was my dear friend Valerie Lefranc and was luck would have it, her daughter Adele, was back home for a spell, so that was an extra added treat! Born in the south of France, Valerie lived in few other right places at the right time -we met in NYC in the late 1900’s! This canyon has been home for the better part of 20+ years. She is a great steward of this vast landscape, nurturing every square inch, every blade of grass, every rock and rubble, highlighting views and secret nooks, sharing all it’s beauty with all who have the honor of visiting.
